Previously, also became known that the German manufacturer has already registered as trademarks the names with the letter “i” and numbers from 1 to 9, and also published the logo of future models with names.According to some reports, the number 8 in the name of the hybrid supercar was chosen to remind us of sports M8 car, which is scheduled for release as a possible competitor to Ferrari in the late 90 the last century, and who never got into production. Was built only one prototype BMW M8 with a 550-horsepower engine. It was first presented at a special event for journalists held in July this year in the BMW Museum in Munich.
